Description
The Sunset Deluxe Chinstrap in size Large (CS004L) is a wide-band chinstrap for CPAP users who breathe through their mouth during sleep. It is for people using a nasal or nasal pillows mask who wake with a dry mouth or lose air through their mouth at night.
If your mouth opens during therapy, pressurized air escapes instead of keeping your airway open. The chinstrap supports your jaw to help keep your mouth closed. Its extra-wide strap spreads the pressure out for more comfort.
How it fits: the strap attaches to itself at the top of the head, and two smaller support straps hold it in place. Sunset makes it as an alternative to the Respironics Deluxe Chinstrap.
Works with: it is worn on its own and doesn't clip onto your mask, so you can wear it with any brand of nasal or nasal pillows mask. It does not replace your mask headgear.
Size: this listing is the Large size (CS004L). Sunset also makes a Small (CS004S), which we don't carry on this page.
When to replace: ResMed's general CPAP supply schedule lists chin straps every 6 months.
Care: Sunset says to hand wash only and lay flat to dry. It is latex-free.
