Heated or standard

Heated tubing keeps the air warm on its way to the mask, which stops condensation from collecting in the hose when you use a humidifier. If you do not use humidification, standard tubing is all you need.

When to replace a hose

Replace tubing every 6 to 12 months, and sooner if you see small tears, cloudiness or a loose cuff. Any of these can cause leaks.

Questions & answers

Will any CPAP hose fit my machine?

A standard non-heated hose will: it uses the common 22 mm connection found on almost every machine and mask. Heated tubing is different and only fits the machine it was made for.

Do I need a heated CPAP hose?

Only if you use a humidifier and get water collecting in the hose. Heated tubing prevents that. Without humidification, a standard hose works the same.

How often should I replace CPAP tubing?

Every 6 to 12 months, or sooner if it is torn, cloudy or the cuff no longer fits tightly.

Does ClimateLineAir tubing for the AirSense 10 fit the AirSense 11?

No. The AirSense 11 uses ClimateLineAir 11 tubing, which has a different connection.

Do I need a prescription to buy CPAP tubing?

No, for standard and heated tubing. ClimateLineAir Oxy tubing, which has an oxygen port, is the exception.

Can I return a part if it is the wrong one?
